STEEZ :: Cropped Knit Cardi.
This cropped heavyweight knit cardigan has a shawl collar, assymetrical hem and would go just beautifully with a black pair of skinnies sitting on a shelf in my closet right nowww.

STEEZ :: Intergalactic Outerwear.
The LEONIDS SWEATSHIRT, by Japanese designer SCOLAR, has a spaced-out look that instantly appealed to me while searching the web for some new warm weather garb. What do I like about it the most? I'd have to say its uniqueness. It's pretty doubtful that I'll bump into another bia strolling the streets of Chicago sporting this intergalactic sweatshirt.
Cop this steezy spaced-out sweatshirt @ ModCloth.
STEEZ :: Embellished Greenwich Tank.
This scoop-neck tank features graduated metal paillettes and beading at the suede disc details. Vertical back seam. 1.5" straps. Lined. 26" long, measured from shoulder. 100% rayon. Hand wash. Imported.
Cop it from Shopbop.

STEEZ :: INNA MODJA.

I recently discovered this Parisian songstress, Inna Modja. Not only am I currently obsessing over her simple, yet chic, French style, I am in LOVE with her voice. The second video featured below is in French! Oooo la laaaa.
All photos featured her were taken by Mali based fashion photographer, Malick Sidibe. He is incredibly talented. Check out more of his work here.

STEEZ: 3SIXTEEN.
While it's becoming increasingly easy to tune out when clothing brands talk about heritage and craft, there are still some that warrant attention. At seven years strong, NYC- and LA-based label 3sixteen continues to set itself apart with a genuine dedication to producing high-quality threads that don't capitalize on the latest trends, but will instead remain relevant throughout time. Founded by Andrew Chen in 2003 as a t-shirt line, 3sixteen now produces a range of long-lasting staple garments and accessories for guys whose taste is equal parts refined and rugged.

For Cool Hunting, 3sixteen created a series of locally-sourced wool ties in patterns that CH chose along with Chen. Made in one of the few remaining factories in Manhattan's Garment District (where Chen shot the picture above, of the ties in mid-production), the fabrics range from sharp plaids to rich solids with subtle textures woven in. CH particularly digs 3sixteen's versatility, adding sophistication to casual ensembles and keeping more dignified looks from appearing stuffy. Crafted exclusively for CH, the 3sixteen ties sell from CH's online shop for $80 each.

LAURA'S SUMMER INSPIRATION
![]() |
"Inspiration comes from many places and Laura may's Mood boards are always eclectic with lots of imagery and references from sourcing trips all over the world...more to come." |

"The mood for summer was hot and dusty with inspiration coming from the 70's bohemian lifestyle. Think Talitha Getty on a roof top in Morroco! We wish we were there." |
STEEZ: KNITTAPLEASE.
KNITTAPLEASE

Magda Sayeg, founder of KnittaPlease, began by taking knitting out of the home and into the streets. The simple juxtaposition of this woven material placed within an urban environment has inspired a new generation of knitters who no longer view function as the sole purpose for knitting. This new approach to knitting questions the assumptions of a traditional craft while adding a previously unused material to the world of street art.
When Magda Sayeg began KnittaPlease in 2005, it was her response to the dehumanizing qualities of an urban environment. By inserting handmade art in a landscape of concrete and steel, she adds a human quality that otherwise rarely exists. KnittaPlease represents the present energy coming from knitting and more extensively weaving, while giving a nod to its powerful history. Her work has been recognized for its influence in street art as well as the craft of knitting. Magda Sayeg is based in Austin, Texas. (http://www.insight51.com)
